Day of truth

11th of january 2010 is official day for the release of the results of the 'O' Level examination. I admit that my heart was pounding uncontrollably at that moment, there were only 2 options for me; devastate or celebrate. By God's grace a hit a score of 11 for my L1R4, not including bonus points. Unprecedented! Totally! I achieved 4 distinctions, 3 Bs and a C. This is the result of mad studying and fervent prayer. My dad was ecstatic and my mum was happy, so for once i felt like a hero. Everyone that asked for my results would go 'Whoa!', 'WOW', 'OMG' and 'Donk!'. Absurd, my classmates did better than me, a single digit score isnt that hard to find.

I visited my grandma, who is hospitalised in Mount Alvernia Hospital due to bronchitis. It is certainly heart-wrenching to see her there, God knows how much she's suffered. Indeed, i was feeling, perhaps anguished when she had difficulty recalling my name. I cannot blame her though, she's over ninety and on medication. She calls herself silly for not remembering the name of her grandson and blames herself that we have gone through so much trouble just to visit her. It breaks my heart to hear that. Well, on the bright side, she's recovering pretty well and will be up and running in a few day's time. Her appettite has certainly improved and looks pretty sharp today. By God's grace she can make a full recovery soon. I shall continue to include her in my prayer before i go to sleep.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I couldnt go to the countdown party at Marina Float because i had some important dinner. My aunt gave me 50 bucks=) Well i could only watch the countdown at home, via an idiot box (aka television). The fireworks didnt go as well as i thought but it was quite alright though.
Now i would like to thank God for opening this new year, and bless it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Its finally christmas, and boy am i pround to be a christian. This day 2009 years and 359 days ago, Christ died for the sins of mankind. This day heralds a new beginning and signifies the end of yet another year. How i spent christmas? This is my account . .

I wanted to watch Avatar and we went on a wild goose chase just to watch it. We travelled to Yishun Golden Village, thinking it would be less crowded than Golden Village @ Junction 8. Alas! It was not meant to be, not a single 8.40 pm seat or 9.40pm seat. Well then, we detoured to Bishan and tried getting a seat for Avatar at 10pm . FIRST ROW! This is unreasonable. The front row is such that you have to tilt your head up 80 degrees to see the screen. Avatar is a godsend, produced by James Cameron. Critics said they relished the same moment when watching Star Wars in 1977. The show lasted 2hour 47min, by the time the movie ended, it was already 1am. Nonetheless, we met up with kc, Hazhar and Sean. There we chatted for a while. By the time i was ready to get home, it was already 2am. Cheng offered to lend me his bike. What are my options? Cycled home, perspiring heavily and dead bushed. NEVER NEVER WATCH A MOVIE ON CHRISTMAS EVE. Sleeping time . .

Woke up at 11am. Got dressed and ready to visit my grandpa's grave. Its time we paid respect to him. I took this time to catch up with my cousins. Joel got me and my brothers a keychain, hand made from China as christmas presents. There, he instructed on my dad how to use the iphone and its functions. Lunch was far from good. There were yucky salmon and tons of vermiceli. Eew! Went home, craving for home food .

STRESS,STRESS,STRESS!

It has come to a point that i can no longer tolerate the stress building inside me. Many reasonable factors may have contributed to the state i am in. Perhaps it is the long hours i stay hooked on the computer and the cooping of myself at home. I have grown tired and angry at my computer and psp. You see, i have low tolerance of failure and when i fail to get the stuff right, i will get very agitated and irritated. I am not the type who punctuate my sentences with profanities but there might be some unclean words that leak out unconsciously in the spit of anger. I do hope i curb my temper and maybe give technology a miss for a few days. .

My Birthday

Its the 8th of december and guess what, its my birthday. Met up with KC, Benny and Cheng and went to a cyber cafe(GoodSpeed). After which, FC, Sean, Hazhar, Andy, Kenneth met us. We wanted to watch a movie, but we could not decide on which movie to watch. So we settled for dinner instead, at Pepper Lunch. After an excellent dinner, we bade farewell and went to Benny's house. We wanted to stay over at Zachary's house, but unpromising factors hindered our plan. Plan B - To play a 24-hour package at a cyber cafe(Spot On) in Park Lane. We met Zhi Xiang there and played together. Teasing him can be so much fun. So here heralds the end of the Great Sherman's birthday HA!

Birthday Eve

I have just returned from a family vacation at Costa Sand Resorts and am completely exhausted. After unpacking and washing up, i went to Toa Payoh central to meet up with Adam and Tomboat. The unbelievable thing was that we waiting a good three quarter of an hour waiting for Jin and Benson. Damn! It does'nt matter anyway. Ate at Kentucky's - again . After which, we went to play billiard. The winner, guess who? Me! The only reason why i won with 30 points was that Benson is a novice. You see, on actual fact i only managed to pot one ball so that makes 29 points of foul made by Benson. He went into a sulk when we laughed at him. Street Soccer - a real fun sport to play. I played and i lost in all the games and the reason - i could not see due to poor eyesight and the total darkness of the court(we played at 9pm). I went home due to fatigue and muscle cramps.
